Botany is an important field of science that is very much related to plants. The Department of Botany is one of the prestigious Departments in the college and it was started in 1992. The Department is fully equipped with a good quality of laboratory instruments. The Department aim isto ensure that you can achieve an upâ€toâ€date level of understanding of plant science. Faculty members of the department are highly qualified, dedicated and competent in teaching as well as in Research. The Department has continually been striving for excellence in teaching, Learning, and Evaluation. The faculty members are updated their knowledge through technology and Learning. The Department has separate staff Room and Computer with internet facility.

Vision:

To achieve a high level of excellence in the field of scientific research at graduate level with focus on plants and their environment by integrating with Local Farmers and Horticulturists.
The Department of Botany aims to improve practical training in the plant sciencesand adequately addresses the needs of young students and the industry alike.
To analyses the Study of different kinds of plants, and its uses and characteristics to influence in the fields of Science, Medicine and Cosmetics etc.
It envisions that it will be recognized by institutions of higher learning for excellence in Teaching, and Research.
