The Department of Physics was stated in 1993 with the combination of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and later MPCS (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science) group was started in the year 2004. The Department has laboratory equipments and has innovative experiments where digital equipment is being procured. The staff involved in Research, Teaching works regularly. This Department has produced skilled personalities where some of them are pursuing higher degree and some are doing jobs secured in various recruiting agencies in Govt of Andhra Pradesh and Govt. of India.The department conducting skill oriented certificate courses for developing the syllabi and activities for generating employment opportunities to students. The department also committed to create infrastructure to meet the global standards. The department develops the study-projects, field trips, internships, and Invited Lectures, etc.

The sincere and dedicated academic and non-academic staff members have been the pillars of the department, who have played key roles in the overall development. They are guiding their students in achieving academic excellence and improvement of overall personality. Over the years, the students of Physics Department have been offered high quality education, with special personal care being extended to the students hailing from socially and economically weaker sections of the society.
