The Department of English is one of the prestigious Departments in the College and it was established in 1975. The Department is maintained separate Computer Lab, which is called is as JKC (Jawahar Knowledge Centre). The Lab is fully equipped with Computers, Furniture and good quality of ICT tools. The Staff members are highly experienced and qualified. The Department of English aims at excellence in Teaching, Learning practice through which the students are led to get trained in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills. The Department is always encouraged the students to communicate in English effectively. They are given needed input to express their ideas and they are exposed to all genres of literature to develop aesthetic sense and love the English literature.

Jawahar Knowledge Centers (JKC) is initiated by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in Degree Colleges to help students learn and practice employability skills. The STSN Govt Degree College, Kadiri, JKC centre is given Importance to Communication Skills, Analytical Skills, Technical Skills, Soft Skills, General Awareness and Ethical values. The qualified mentors for different fields were providing all the skills. The main aim of the JKC is to provide solution to the problem unemployment faced by the students studying in Degree courses. JKC imparts requisite skills relevant for dynamic job market and to enable students to seize employment opportunities. It provides latest technologies to the students from marginalize sections of the society and to encourage them to compete with their urban counterparts. JKC helps students realize their potential and to motivate students to be creative, independent and self reliant. It provides adequate knowledge and ensures empowerment of girl students by providing jobs skills. JKC conducts job fairs and campus recruitment drives and to facilitate the placement of trained students. Students are benefited by acquiring job related skills, access to excellent resources, exposure to real time projects, compare to environment for faster growth and campus placement opportunities. College acquires reputation and enriched academic environment.
